Research is a strategic focus for Horus Pharma.

Our company collaborates closely with specialist doctors (hospital- and non hospital-based), scientific experts, universities and centres of reference. Our partners include: The "Institut de la Vision" in Paris, the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM), the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) and the University of Marseille.

Horus Pharma has created a network of industrial partners comprising other pharmaceutical companies and firms conducting complementary activities (biotechnology companies, CROs, plastics engineers, materials specialists, etc.). 

With its dedicated team, the structure of our company facilitates the development of new generations of products. It dedicates 7% of its revenue (2010) to Research and Development and intends to progressively increase this percentage to 15% over the next 5 years.

The "Preservative-free" culture is a key part of Horus Pharma’s research. For this reason, our company has developed and patented a set of solutions to guarantee microbiological quality without the use of preservatives, which are known for their long-term allergic and toxic effects.

Epifree Technology
This innovative and patented manufacturing process ensures both the microbiological quality and the integrity of the highly concentrated constituents (particularly hyaluronic acid), without the use of preservatives. Our Ilast products for eyelid hygiene and care are the first to benefit from this major innovation which combines safety and efficacy.
